Clemmie's House was originally founded in 2001 as Inside Ministries Inc. It began with a group of faithful, committed ladies who desired to host a bible study and life skills class inside our local jail. As the program continued over time, they began to realize that many women visiting their ongoing classes were reoccurring offenders who just couldn't seem to succeed once released. As the ministry grew, the founding members wanted to do more to help these women become successful rejoining our local community. Over time, due to many fundraising efforts, Inside Ministries was able to purchase its first transitional home and named this special blessing after a former board member who had passed away, Mrs. Clemmie Walker. Since that time, the program has become known as "Clemmie's House" and has been successful in helping restore the lives of many women who just needed a safe place to land in a loving, encouraging, and caring environment.
